Fefafe Performs at GLOW Variety Show
GLOW Variety Show Set To Illuminate LCC Eugene, Oregon - March 28th and 29th, 2015
Following its knockout debut at the Wildish Theater in the Summer of 2014, GLOW Variety Show returns to Lane County with a new and dazzling performance at Lane Community College. The show, known for its diversity and frequent hilarity, ups the ante in this second installment with the inclusion of Washington-based ‘acrobaticalist’ sensation NANDA. Their act, a recurring favorite at the Oregon Country Fair, features stunning acrobatic theater that has been called “a calculated chaos of comedy.”
Founder and main choreographer Anna Miller describes GLOW as an effort to “inspire human connection by bringing people of all ages together to share experiences and heartfelt feelings through performance art.” The show highlights both young, up-and-coming superstars and older, well-honed professionals through music, dance, acrobatics, and comedy.
Excited yet? It gets better. Miller donates the proceeds from GLOW to the Trauma Healing Project, a non-profit providing healing arts services to low-income survivors of trauma through acupuncture, yoga, massage and Reiki. Of this generosity Miller states, “[I want] to live in a world where all people have access to healing and to their own glowing intelligence and joy.”
GLOW’s international, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary lineup includes Nanda, Fefafe, Tenaya and Bruce Cooley, Boon Richter, Jacquire Epley and Izikaula Huntley, and choreography by Miller, and Eugene Banghra. The show is an eclectic and heartwarming experience for the whole family.
Miller and LCC are thrilled to showcase such a concentration of talent and entertainment. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend what will undoubtedly be one of the best shows you will see in 2015.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and available for a discount at $170 for a group of 10. At Lane Community College Raggozino Hall.
