Lane County Cultural Coalition's Grant
In January 2014 WACAI was awarded a grant from the Lane County Cultural Coalition's Cultural (LCCC) Opportunity Fund to develop a high quality website that will help establish an online presence to increase awareness of our mission and purpose, create awareness of our classes, events and programs and aid in our fundraising endeavors.
LCCC's vision is to create and support a vibrant cultural life through arts, heritage and humanities in Lane County. They are one of 45 county-based Cultural Coalitions that issue local grants from the Oregon Cultural Trust. The purpose of their grants is to stimulate grassroots efforts to expand arts, heritage and humanities programs in Lane County.
WACAI is very happy to be working with Eugene's own UplinkSpyder, a full-service provider of Web Design and Development, Design, Online Marketing, and Social Media Support Services. UplinkSpyder is the vision and passion of Emmanuel and Deanna Rivera, a dynamic husband and wife team who have gone out of their way to make the entire process of building a website from scratch accessible. Their passion for their work is evident in all they do, and they have strived to share it with us.
WACAI is also grateful to Mary Parthemer, a Lane Community College Academic Learning Skills professor and former dance student of Alseny Yansane, who helped Andrea write the grant by making very useful suggestions and edits. We really appreciate all of her years of grant writing experience that she shared with us and her astute writing skills!
