WACAI Performances at African Night
West African Cultural Arts Institute's Performance group will be taking the stage to perform Guinea style drumming and dance at this year's "African Night" at BOTH Oregon State University AND Portland State University on Saturday, April 20th!
OSU's African Student Association is hosting this annual cultural night, dubbed "Afrikan Roots!" Come join us for a night of various entertainments showcasing cultures from all across the African continent with dance, music, food, and fashion! WACAI will be kicking off this year's “Afrikan Roots” on Saturday, April 20th from 6-6:20 pm with awesome music and dance from Guinea! This event will be hosted at the Memorial Union Ballroom at OSU. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and the event begins at 6 pm. It is FREE for all students, staff, faculty, and community members!
Folks in the Portland Metro area are invited to come out to PSU’s African Students Association’s 39th African Cultural Celebration Night from 5-11 pm and catch WACAI’s uplifting performance from 9-9:20 pm. Held in the Smith Memorial Student Union, this event will feature dancing and singing performances as well as Ethiopian and West African food. This event is FREE for PSU students or $5 at the door for non-PSU students. Hope to see you there!
