West African Drum & Dance for Kids ages 9-15

Hey parents, don't miss this opportunity to get your kids involved in an activity that creatively channels all of that energy while exposing them to the rich and vibrant culture of Guinea! This fall, starting October 1, WACAI will be offering a West African Drum & Dance class for kid ages 9-15 on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am. This five week class will be held at the Amazon Community Center located on 2700 Hilyard Street in the south side of Eugene, Oregon and promises to be a lot of fun!

Kids will love this joyful and expressive way to move to the beat of live drumming while playing interactive movement games and learning traditional and contemporary African dance steps. On the last day of class students will show off their stuff by demonstrating what they learned in the class with a recital like presentation to parents and families.

This five week class is only $50 and registration is open now through the Amazon Community Center. To register either call 541-682-5373 or visit online at www.eugene-or.gov/recenroll for an easy three step registration process. West African Dance's Barcode is #121372.
