Are you looking for ways to keep your kids active and engage after school? Enroll them in WACAI's Drum, Percussion & More class at the Oak Hill School Enrichment Program! In these classes, students grades 4-8 learn about West African culture through a variety of hands-on activities and interactive games focusing on drumming, hand percussion, dancing, and singing. $65 for 6 hours of instruction includes all instrument fees.
Class starts Monday, February 5th and goes until March 19th from 3:30-4:30 pm on the beautiful Oak Hill School campus located at 86397 Eldon Schafer Drive next to LCC's main campus off of 30th Avenue in Eugene. This class is open to all students from any school and is NOT just for Oak Hill School attendees. Kids in grades 9-12 who are interested in registering can register.

Drumming, Percussion & More (6 classes)

Have fun playing inspiring poly-rhythms and traditional African beats while learning technique and musicality through interactive games and activities designed for self-expression and team building alike! Kids will enjoy playing beautiful drums, shakers, and rhythm sticks through group exercises and individual attention provided by West African Cultural Arts Institute's co-founder who has lived and studied in Guinea, West Africa for close to seven years. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the culture from Guinea as it relates to the rhythms taught in tandem with corresponding songs and energetic movement.
$65 for 6 hours of instruction includes all instrument fees.
